referrals

I agree with the others. Don't let what you saw in that classroom bother you. Each teacher is different in handling kids. Some teachers will refer kids to the office for everything, when they could have handled a great many things themselves. My advice is not to write too many referrals. It seems that the more referrals you write, the more it seems as if you are giving up your authority to the office. Have a conference with the student after class or after school. Engage your parents' cooperation early in the year.
