Master's classes

HI
Last fall I enrolled in a reading class that was/is required for a reading endorsement. I teach special ed and have my EI and LD endorsements and didn't really want to add to the alphabet so I decided reading would
be a good addition to anything I might do in the future...
I went to the first class which began at 4:00 pm my school doesn't dismiss until 3:40 so it was a rush to get there on time and I wasn't physically able to do so what with traffic and all. The prof went over her "rules" and two stuck out at me big time....YOu could only be late twice in the semester....well I had already been
late to the first class...so then the prof said and if you miss any classes you have to write up a paper on some subject she will assign when you return to class the next week...well there are parent nights, parent teacher conferences, IEPC's. I got up, left the class and dropped it. How can they expect teachers to come to a class at 4 and never miss? I felt she was very unrealistic.

This summer I took 3 college grad classes. One Elementary Science was an on-line class worth 2 credits. One was a computer class with on-line homework on the internet and one was a week long seminar. MUCH EASIER and I learned a lot without any hassle from the professors! I highly recommend the on-line classes!
