I taught science and social studies for the most part every other day. Some times I just taught one subject for one or two weeks then the other. I had a large block of time for reading, writing, and language arts last year
so I would try to incorporate some science and social studies articles in that time to go along with the book we were reading. I got a book by Patricia Cunningham this summer that might help with lessons and how to incorporate all subjects into reading and writing. It is call "They Can All Learn To Read and Write" so far I like what I have read and plan on using alot of the techniques

and stratagies she talks about. We also have a new reading series this year that helps incorporate reading, writing, spelling, and language arts. Oh! I teach fifth grade now for the third year.
