snacks
By Cathy-Dee

Clip to ScrapBook
I would check first with my administrator to see what or if there are any school policies in place for this. And what he or she thinks about doing it in your class this year. If you are the only grade 3 class then it shouldn't be a problem, but if there are other classes then parents may question why one class does snacks and the others do not. I teach in a low income area as well and it does make a difference. When I ask for treats for a class party they usually send store bought cookies (the cheapest ones) or chips. Very little in the way of nutrition. It may be a great idea but it could also end up being a lot of extra work for you especially being a new teacher.
