2nd graders are a wonderful group! At the beginning of the year they are very similar to first graders and as time goes by, you will see how much they grow. They love routine so be sure to keep your schedule consistent.| Like Elisha, I also post my schedule for the children. During the first weeks of school you will have to spend alot of time teaching and modeling procedures for the children. It is very time consuming but it will save you time later in the year because your class will know what is expected of them. 2nd graders are still at the age where they love their teacher so be prepared for alot | |
of drawings. My students are always drawing pictures for me and I put them on the bulletin board behind my desk. They love to see something they gave the teacher displayed.
