I rip out workbook pages, too! That saves me so much class time, and I can differentiate what pages to give which kids (I use a phonics book and match pages to their word sorts.) They don't even know they have a phonics workbook! The last week of school, I give them their books (after I rip out the "easy" pages, which I pass to a kdgn. tchr.) and let them have "free choice phonics." Well, it's all in the delivery, and you would think I handed them the moon! They get soooo excited that they can do whatever phonics pages they want! It's too funny, good review, and keeps them nice and busy those last few hot days so I can get some end-of-the-year work done!!:D
