I'm so glad to know!
By Mabel

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi, everyone, especially the original "poster!" I am so glad to read these responses. I have all of the same feelings expressed in the other postings. I love school, and everything about it, and I especially love preparing
for a new year.

Here's my frustration. My brother just became a teacher. He's 35. This upcoming year will be his 2nd year in the classroom. I've been teaching since I was 21, and I'm on my 17th year. I asked him the other day if he wanted to take a trip down to the teacher store about 45 miles away. He responded by telling me that there really wasn't anything that he needed.

(HE DOESN'T NEED ANYTHING? ) I love to buy things for my students and my classroom. I also love to buy and read books for and about teaching.

Many of my fellow teachers do not share our obsession and passion for teaching. It's not to say that they are not good teachers, but they always make me feel like a dope for loving it so much! (I know, I have "issues").

Hope everyone is having a great summer!
(I must say, however, I do love summer vacations, holidays, weekends and snow days!)
