Great idea! I'd like to do the same. I think the reward idea would be difficult to monitor constantly and may get a little overwhelming. Maybe you could have them highlight the word when they use it in their writing. Kids love to use highlighters, adds a little fun! You could give them a reward after every ten highlighted vocabulary words they use. Plus, after they highlight the word, it would make it easier for you to find and check the word that they used.
