Word of Day
By jean

Clip to ScrapBook
You have a great idea, but why not let the students do the dictionary work and look up the definition. I did this last year as part of the first morning routine-a daily language sentence to correct and I had the word of the day on the board with a way to use it. For example if the word was mammal I might have them: make a list of mammals; or describe characteristics of a mammal; or what part of speech is mammal-you get the idea. They would write this in the same notebook as their sentence. Just an idea.
