One of the things H. Wong mentions is to be sure to welcome kids with a smile. I feel that learning should definitely be welcoming and fun. I believe his main idea is that if you make sure that procedures are firmly in place, then you have the freedom to give your personality to teaching. That underlying structure is really important, but a sense of humor and enjoyment of teaching and learning are also essential. It will differ for everyone.
