Planning for Readingq
By Debbie

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi DD,
I don't think 4-5 stories is too many, if the books are on each child's instructional level and you're planning on doing shared and guided reading groups along with literature conversatons, that would be easily accomplished. See Guided Reading by Fountas and Pinnell (published by Heinemann) for specifics on management, and organization, how to form dynamic groupings as well as specific lessons in developing strategic readers. Post again or email if you need specifics on the teaching of reading. Take care, and best of luck.
