Science Around the World
By MMH

Clip to ScrapBook
Dear Trish,
Hello I am over at my Grandmother's and I saw your post and I was replying to tell you what we did last year in my 8th grade Science class. Everyday when we cane into the classroom a different student had
to go to the computer and find something scientific that had happened around the world and then they would report it to the class and then we would talk about it. The web-sites were already book marked for us. While one student did that the rest of us would put markers on a map my teacher had made for us. He would make a list of different volcanoes that had erupted in the past couple
of days and we would try to find them. Then eventually they outlined most of the plate boundaries. And we learned about hot spots and where volcanoes can occur other then plate boundaries. It was a fun activity and it helped us learn more about where the plate boundaries where and where different places where. So that is what we did in my 8th grade science class for Science Around the World.
