It is very disheartening to think we take the time to do all of this so the kids will have books to read in our classrooms. I don't know how much money I have spent on my classroom library. Just this past week, I had a student request a book that she had read during the regular school year. When we went to look for it, it was msising. Obviously, it had developed legs and walked off. I request that my classroom library books stay in the room. They also have to sign them out, even when reading them in the classroom. Somehow, they disappear. I figure the kid must want it more than anythiing else
