in service
By Carolyn

Clip to ScrapBook
"In-service," at least where I have worked, means that you will receive some sort of training at your school. This in-service can related to almost any topic, but generally it is to train you to be a "better" teacher. It could focus upon anything from integrating the curriculum to classroom management. It may even encompass several topics. Generally speaking, there is some sort of program involved with speakers or trainers conducting the in-service. You will enjoy attending the in-service meetings. They will, hopefully, be inspirational and helpful for you.
