Clip to ScrapBook
I hate to see the Harry Wong book being used like a bible. I am glad to see that there are other books out there for teachers to read. I don't think that people should read just one book and strictly go by that one book--such
as the Wong book. I have used some the the Wong approaches, but I have used some others, too. I don't necessarily agree that all of the Wong approaches are best for EVERY class and EVERY teacher. I think that in the end, we should all use our best judgment where teaching and classroom management are concerned, and we should consider what works best for each class. I have taught
for five years, and I have found that methods I use don't work with all classes. We can't rely upon cookie cutter approaches when it comes to dealing with children.
