Why not?
By Sarah

Clip to ScrapBook
I am a sixth grade ESL teacher and will be teaching all the subjects next year for the first time. I keep reading about people not teaching both science and social studies each day. I imagined I would teach both most days. I couldn't imagine the discontinuity of switching them every other day. The two week cycle thing seems to make more sense, but I would still probably be in the middle of a unit after two weeks. I wouldn't like stopping and starting again later. I'm imagining it is this "crunch" for the standardized tests that keep teachers from teaching both science and social studies each day, but I'm really just guessing.
Let me know!
Gracias.
