Problem of the week
By Joanne Campbell

Clip to ScrapBook
We have a set of problems of the week with our math program Quest 2000. They come on overheads. I like to have an activity or problem on their desk (or on the board for older students) when they come in from lunch. They sit down and get right to it. It gives them time to settle down after recess, refocus and gives me time to check attendance and deal with any problems from recess (I have grade 1). These quick activities also allow me to touch on various strands in Math that may not be stressed in a particular term. Hope this sparks some ideas.
Joanne
