using magnets
By Pam

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi
I used a similar idea to some of the others. I have a large file cabinet in my room. I made a long poster that is attached to the cabinet.One side is for buying lunch, the other side for bringing lunch. I then bought colored wooden sticks from the craft store, wrote the child's name on the front and put a magnet on the back. In the morning the kids take their magnet from the side of the file cabinet and place it under the appropriate column. Any names left on the side of the cabinet are assumed absent. Two of my kids then filled in the attendance form which I check then they take it to the office. I teach second grade and this worked really well and was easy to manage.
