Hi all,
Interesting topic, I'd like to add 'risk taking and life long learning' to the mix...I think both have a tremendous impact on education. While it's hard to have everything 'all together' your first years out, there is 'usually' a level of energy and enthusiasm that carries a new teacher, which is why after 22 years of continually 'reinventing the wheel' in my own teaching and learning, I'd be willing to put my own sons in any teacher's classroom who shows the primary concern is to support each child as an individual, both academically and social emotionally.
