I tried having a reading cafe each friday afternoon for a half hour. The kids were able to bring in magazines or a book to read. Parents donated juice and cookies for us to enjoy. I also allowed the parents to come in to read with us. The kids loved it and really looked forward to it. Hope this helps. Deb
