Behavior
By June

Clip to ScrapBook
I must say that starting from day one, set the rules. Tell the students exactly what you expect from them. Students at this age need to have goals, rules, and consequences. They want you to be fair. Also, to avoid behavior
problems, be prepared, always give them a list of things to do when they have finished their work. I give my students a puzzle pack and they can earn fake money for each sheet they complete. I have rewards that they can then buy with the money they earn. Examples, be a teacher for a day ($40.00), sit in a new seat for a day ($35.00), extra time on the computer ($1.00 a minute),
free recess time ($50.00), each lunch with the teacher ($40.00), candy ($20.00), miss homework pass ($15.00)stickers, pencils, etc. This really motivates them and keeps them busy!
