Teaching Experience
By rene

Clip to ScrapBook
Even though I have been teaching for several years, I am always in search of new teaching materials and ideas -- in fact, that is why these boards are such a hit with everyone! Please don't generalize that veteran teachers
are all "old school" -- believe it or not, some of our methods actually work Age is not as important as "attitude".

Also, a little advice.. be cautious in forming "personal" relationships with students. Unfortunately in today's society, you must always think liability. Discussing personal issues with eighth graders may easily be misconstrued by students, parents, administration

and the school board.

Taking an interest and being concerned about your students is wonderful -- but remember you are not the student... you are the teacher. There is a fine line that has to be drawn. There is no substitute for professionalism.
