make-ups
By Chrisie

Clip to ScrapBook
I , too, this year felt that the kids were sliding by without completing their make up work. Each student had a homework buddy, someone they could call if they forgot their work, someone they could contact if they were absent, etc... and if a student missed school or half a day, their homework buddy would go over to the homework buddy filing system,,, take a WHILE YOU WERE OUT SHEET (I could email you one if you'd like) and then fill out the day's assignments, homework, etc, then with any handouts that buddy would place these sheets and materials in the file folder with that child's name on it, and he/she had three days to make up the work... I was not that insistent on the time allotted, though, so I will improve on that for next year.
