sending work home reply to Jennifer By Kelly in MO

I just made a simple form on Microsoft Word and saved it. Then I can just change the send home dates for the next time. It is very quick and easy. Something like this.... Parent Correspondence Packet Dear parents--I firmly believe in continuous parent-teacher communication. In this envelope are many of the assignments your child has completed in the past two weeks. Please remove all papers and look them over. Sign the envelope after the appropriate date to show that you have seen the work inside. Send the signed, empty envelope back to school the next morning. Your | | child will receive credit for returning this envelope. Thank You for your time and effort. Together, we make a difference!Comments: August 30th ________________________ I have enclosed a note to the teacher ____ ************************************************** Comments: September 10th______________ I have enclosed a note to the teacher ____ ************************************************* Jennifer--you get the point. My principal does love this. He even put 2 envelopes per year/ per student in my budget!! It takes time to write comments for each student but if you have career ladder hours to meet you can use this. Plus, it is our responsibility to let parents know exactly how their children are doing. I put current grades and or any comments about trouble spots in the comment section. Some kids get a paragraph, and sometimes just a quick smiley face and a little note like--awesome or I am so proud!! Let me know if this helps you or if I have been unclear. I seem to be rambling tonight!! Kelly
