Memoirs is one of the saddest books I have read in a long while.
Right now I'm not reading much heavy stuff like that. It makes me so depressed to think that mankind can be so unrelentingly cruel. I'm rereading Frank Herbert's SciFi novel Dune (Dune Chronicles) which I first read in the 70s. I'd forgotten what a great book it is. It can be read on so many levels. Pure escapism for my summer reading.:p
