Bad Class

This year will also be my fourth year of teaching and I have had two BAD classes. Yes, there is such a thing. Don't let anyone tell you it is a bad teacher who has no control. I am very strict and consistent with my rules.
The problem with my class last year was that there was no discipline at home. The pre-school teacher heard me complain about this class mid-way through the year. As she listened to the things they were doing she commented that those were the same behaviors they exhibited in pre-school. When I asked here what she did she said she went to the parents but they were very unsupportive.

They were this year too. I too felt like teaching just wasn't for me after this year. Half way through the year I seriously considered quitting at the end of the year and doing something else. I even checked into other programs at our local college. I was very serious about it. The turn around was the fact that I had the opportunity to work with this years incoming class some and they are great children. I'm now looking forward to it and have even planned some extra special things for this group. At this point, the best thing you could do is to forget the last few years. Look forward to this year and go in with a good attitude. It's the only chance you have of maybe having a good year. You just have to start fresh and pray for the best.
