Good luck on your new job. Don't let people scare you with tales of kids that are going to be in your class. It's been done to me a number of times. They think their being helpful. I just try to ignore it. The Harry Wong book is very good for new teachers and old one too. It puts you in control before the kids enter your classroom for the first time. I ordered mine on Amazon but I saw copies at Borders last night.They are all wrapped in plastic so you know there's a wealth of information they want you to buy.
