Disturbing
By Jeanine

Clip to ScrapBook
This is truly disturbing. I worked outside of the educaton work force for 2 years before deciding to go back to school to become a teacher. I was completely bothered by the lack of caring or concern in the industry I was
in. I made big dollars and worked many hours. I left that field to be in an industry that I felt allowed me to apply my natural concern for others. With this instinct in mind, I feel that in order to be a master teacher one must have this. If that means to allow for hugs, words of love, serious conversations about teen issues or anything else that may become taboo..... so be it.
Our number one concern should always be for the child. This encompasses a child of 5 years all the way to 18 years. I truly do not care what the politicians concerns are anymore. They are more concerned with outward appearrances. ( ie; test scores, school advancements and always social issues) If this means that I put myself in the firing line for students than that is what I will do. Why sacrafice a childs needs ( not safety!!!) for outward appearances? Sincerely, Jeanine
