Congratulations! You are about to embark on an incredibly rewarding field. My advice is to set your rules the very first day and be consistent. Children respect and actually appreciate the enforcement of reasonable rules.
Also, realize that if you're having fun, your students probably are too. You may want to switch gears, or get creative if you feel bored during a lesson.
Take some advice from veteran teachers, but don't lose the creative edge you have as a new teacher. I think you are already a great teacher for your concern and initiative.
