Let me get this straight. You are to go into each class only on Mondays to cover for teacher prep time. Did the principal tell you what he or she wants you to do. Are you considered a special? (Art, gym, etc.) If the classes| have computers maybe you can start teaching the parts of computers and how to use the internet. Or come up with art activities around the themes the teachers are using in the class. It might help if you talk to all four of the fourth grade teachers you are going to be covering to get ideas from them. They may want you to continue a project they have started. it is you are expected to be doing. Get a job description from the principal to get an idea. Then go to the other teachers for ideas and help.
