You didn't say what grade level but the children could count the number of objects/items eaten. They could also graph the things eaten..depending on their level ,you could provide the grid or let them design their own..You could have story problems with subtracting or adding( ex. blueberries plus plums) or use icons of the items to stand for the numbers and let them add or subtract..(ala Marci Cook).
