My teaching partner has used them for the last 5 years. I, regrettably, ordered a set 3 years ago and they've got a few years left in them, but I'll be purchasing the shower board ones next!
The board was $12 and she is never charged for cutting because she's a teacher. Since they are so inexpensive, at the end of each school year she lets the kids take theirs home on the last day! They are so excited to do so. Since each board cuts 30 or so squares, she actually now after 5 years doesn't need to purchase new ones because she has enough left over. She never sands/treats the edges, and to this day (knock on wood!) it's never a problem.
