Last year was my first year and I taught the 5th grade. The quote, "the year depends on what you do the first day of school" is very true. I would suggest reading the book, "First Days of School" by Harry Wong. I learned more from that book than I did most of all my college courses. He had EXCELLENT ideas!! I usually bore from reading books, but, I didn't want to put this one down!!!
