Go for the Gold!
By Jen

Clip to ScrapBook
When the summer olympics took place recently, I was working as a para. To increase the student's self-esteem I created a bulletin board titled "Go for the Gold!" We discussed the meaning of the torch and then they each traced a template of a torch. They painted it with gold paint. We used orange and yellow tissue paper torn up into tiny pieces and glued to the front to create a flame. Then, they traced their name using glitter onto the front of the torch. They were so proud of their bright and shiny torches that they convinced people to come and see them. Good luck! Jen
