No, your students are not too old for jobs. I do agree you cannot approach this in the same manner as you would the primary students. You might also want to consider including Kindergarten "helpers" as well. Talk to your K teachers - they'll likely appreciate the help, especially in winter climates (I am Canadian). The little ones need lots of help with zippers, etc. at recesses.
