reading routines

Clip to ScrapBook
I think you have the basis for a good program. I would be concerned about making sure every student was completing the long term projects in a timely manner. Second and third grade youngsters aren't much for planning their time for the long haul. You might have to write your tickets in such a way that you are the one breaking down the monthly work and assigning it on a weekly basis.

Another thought is when you are going to check their progress. Are you holding reading groups? Will there be a predetermined time for each group to have their tickets checked, or will they be constantly interrupting you? I would make sure they know when and where to approach you.

Good luck on your new program. I would love to have a basal series to use occasionally.
