Clip to ScrapBook
I taught my measurement unit in math by having the students make quilt squares. We measured to the nearest 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 of an inch. When they were finished with the quilt (paper) I taped them all together. They are beautiful. They also wrote about how they used different aspects of math to make them. Geometry, lines, patterns, etc. This was the first time I did this activity, but not the last.
