my state's history

South Carolina, where I teach, is a historical site for the Civil War. The Civil War began in South Carolina, at Fort Sumter (near Charleston). There are also a number of famous battlefields of the Revolutionary War. I would be glad to share any particulars you may need to know for your study of 4th grade history. I have numerous brochures, etc. If you give me your address at school, my students could also write to your class about our state's history. This would be a good social studies project for them.
