making study of Indians more meaningful to kids

I can't think of any websites offhand, but I have tried a number of activities to go along with the study. If you teach the intermediate grade level, try reading a novel with the kids while you study Indians. We read "Sign of the Beaver" while we were studying the French and Indian War. We also wrote Indian pictograph stories. The kids loved doing these. My kids also made, as a project grade, an Indian village. What a wonderful job they did with these!

Please don't hesitate to ask for any other info!
