Abeka
By Tammy

Clip to ScrapBook
I'm shocked. We don't use the Abeka program in our school so I'm not real familiar with it. We do start cursive younger than most of the public schools in our area (2nd grade) but definitely not to a pre-schooler. Most haven't even developed fine motor skills that are needed for cursive. I have a 4 year old myself and he's having enough difficulty learning his letters and how to print them. Also, not all cursive letters look like their printed counterparts. Are they teaching them what the printed letters look like? If not, how will they learn their letters to be able to read print. I really think this is too young.
