I would definitely agree with you. I have done all my teaching in a private, non-denominational school and would not trade a single day, even for more pay. I have alot of friends who teach in the public arena, make tons| more money than me and they like their job.... it just does not appeal to me. I love the small class size, too 17 in my 2nd grade class) and I have parents who pray for me and will do whatever is needed to help me. When we go on field trips, almost every parent attends to help chaperone! It is wonderful. Additionally, my administrator is like a big brother to us and my co-workers are | |
like the brothers/sisters I never had. I am truly blessed to be working in this envionment. Yes, there are some behavior problems, families who are going through divorces and other difficult situations, etc., but the atmosphere of genuine love and concern for one another over-rides everything else!
