Congratulations!!! I also began my teaching career in a Catholic school and I can still remember how nervous I was!But it's normal to be nervous in any new situation.The first year is overwhelming but exciting.I loved it!Most
catholic schools are smaller. My school had only one of each grade.I enjoyed the community spirit in the school and watching students enter as preschoolers and then graduate as 8th graders in what seemed like the shortest amount of time. I was unsure of myself regarding teaching religion because this is one area in which you are not prepared during student teaching but it actually became

the subject I most enjoyed teaching.I don't know of any catholic school that doesn't use a religion textbook.Just follow the daily plans and as you become more comfortable and familiar with the program you will begin adding your own ideas.I taught in the same classroom in this school for 15 years.Good luck to you!
