You might also want to do some type of Parent Questionaire (sp?) such as what are your major concerns/goals for your child this year, what do you see at your child's greatest strength, etc. Try to get the child to talk about
one or two things that are important to him/her. Do they have a pet, a new baby, etc. Use this information to help the kids introduce themselves on the first day of class. You might also take to do some kind of project for them to complete and bring to school on the first day. Something like a bag to fill with 5 things that show something important about them. I think Shel Silverstein
has a poem that goes with that? Anyway, enjoy your home visits. It's a great opportunity to get to know your kids. They are one of my favorite activities.
