From your post I think that what you are saying is that you are going to enroll your kids in private school and are concidering teaching there as well. I suggest that when your oldest goes to school volunteer in the school
as much as possible and/or join the home/school association or the school board. As a teacher you would have a lot offer. This way you can see if the school has the standards you are looking for. Many parents in my school ended up teaching or with various non teaching jobs beause they liked what they saw in my school. They are the teacher's biggest advocates. Our school had a weak
principal these past few years. (He left.) Many parents pulled their kids out because of his waffling on issues. Most did stay because the staff is great! You've got the background to get a feel for the school. If feels good then go for it! No place is perfect. It is fun teaching in the same school as your kids. I taught all three of mine.
