Cheryl, I think that there wouldn't really be any advantages to team teaching with fourth and sixth grades, unless you have a really strong preference for a subject such as Science and the other teacher hates to teach it. When you team teach the same grade the biggest advantage is that you have less subjects to prepare for. You are just teaching the same subject more than once. Fourth and sixth grades are at totally different levels. You will not save yourself any time plus you have to learn a different set of students and their abilities and needs. That's just my opinion.
