Clip to ScrapBook
I think the best way to make the stories of the Bible real is to share them. I teach 2nd, and the kids LOVE to make story wheels of the Passion story during Lent and then share them with the 1st graders. They know so many
details that they then want to "teach" the 1st graders. You could make scroll stories instead and make them look more authentic and "old testament-like". Then they could share those with another class. How about drama? They could reinact a story for another class. They could even write and illustrate books of the stories and share them with the younger kids. The 6th grade class
in my school is our "Buddy" class. My kids love it when they share something with us. They've done plays for us, make books with us, taught us songs and finger plays, and been our prayer and chapel buddies. It's wonderful interaction.
