Really, how many ways are there to do a word wall? I have looked at tons of pics on this site and others and many, many of them have similar features. How many times have we willingly shared GREAT, creative ideas on here with no thought at all to how many see or copy it? Lots, I bet. There have also been many, many times that I have worked and worked on BB items and then walked down the hall at my school to see that someone else has JUST put up a BB with the same general idea and color scheme even. If I put mine up then, I look like I copied her--but I didn't. At least your neighbor bothers to make changes--even little changes like apples to hands--that changes the whole look if you ask me. Some things need to be in a certain way to be the most effective-word walls, behavior charts, discipline plans, essential questions--I could go on and on... The important thng is that YOU give your students your all every day and along the way you are helping a newbie give her students a better environment too. And ultimately that is why we are here--for the students.
