ABEKA has a website...I checked it out because I'm considering sending my own children to one of the many wonderful Christian schools in my town, and I wanted to be familiar with it for their sake and mine. I'm considering teaching at one of these schools so that I can be close to them, AND the staff gets a tuition discount for their own kids...that in itself would make up for the difference in pay. I AM concerned about retirement, though. I have six years in with the public schools, and I don't really even know how the whole retirement thing works (and I'm too embarrassed to admit that I don't know, so I don't want to ask). Does anyone out there have a take on that?
