Playing the Game
By JAM

Clip to ScrapBook
I agree with Donna about playing the game. I too previously worked in the corporate world and cringed when I saw people "kissing up" to those you knew they did not like just to make things easier. I now realize that it is much easier to be friendly to everyone even if you do not like them. It could really help to get a "whiney butt" on your side. She could rally for your cause if she is with you. I hate to say how political it all sounds but it is a game of politics.

The bottom line is that I like myself better when I am nicer to people whether I think they deserve it or not. I used to think it would mean I was selling out but I now think everyone deserves a smile and a simpathetic ear even if I don't agree with their actions.
