Why'd I teach?
By Sue

Clip to ScrapBook
What a good question.

In my senior year of high school, I would have died before being a "traditional teacher" nearly 20 years ago.

Then I was married and had kids.

Sweet ones.
That cried and pooped.
Got sick
and threw up.

Then, when I was on a plane, or in a restaurant, those whining voices didn't bother me as much anymore.

Then I was facinated by not only my kids, but there friends, their sports, their activities.

Soon, I was not only attending these activities but coaching, leading, scouting....and teaching of sorts. In Sunday school and at the playground.

I had fun, they had fun

and by the time I was thirty-something I thought, Why not?

And I love it.

So, I'm sort of a non-traditional person that has found herself in that "traditional" job of teacher .....
